Location

The training course will held at the Sandbjerg Estate, in the Southern part of Denmark. This estate, owned by Aarhus University, is a beautiful setting for a meeting of this kind. The Manor was build in 1788 by Count Conrad Georg Rewentlow.

Travelling:

The Sandbjerg Estate can most conveniently be arrived at by:

a) Car. See directions on the Sandbjerg homepage or using google maps above.

b) Train to Sønderborg. Sandbjerg is located on the countryside approximately 7 km north of Sønderborg station, so taking a taxi will be the most convenient.

c) Flight to Hamburg (HAM), Billund (BLL), or Copenhagen (CPH) then train to Sønderborg. It should be noted that Sønderborg has a small airport (SGD), so if you can find a flight to there, this is the most convenient, since it is only 12 km from Sandbjerg.

Accomodation:

We have reserved space for 80 participants including lectures. There will be around 40 single rooms, the rest will be double rooms (please indicate preferred room mate).

All meals and conference dinner will be included in the package.

Conference facilities:

The Sandbjerg estate has excellent lecturing facilities (including lecture rooms, projectors and audiovisual equipment, smaller workgroup rooms etc). We will bring laptops implying that presentations can be brought on memory-stick, cd or the like, or bring your own laptop.

Site facilities:

The estate is very beautifully located in a big park, with direct connection to the Alssund Sea. There is very good possibilities for walking in the nice surroundings of the castle. The conference buildings and the manor is open for discussion, whether it is the halls and libraries of the manor, or in the cellar over a game of table tennis or billard.
